What are LUTs?
LUT (also known as Lookup Table), is a term that describes a predetermined set of numbers that provides a shortcut to a particular computation. A LUT is used to transform color input values (camera), into the desired output values (final footage).
LUTs, or Lightrooms, is the fastest way for you to color-grade your footage. LUTs can transform the look of your entire movie by changing the colors in your color palette.
LUTs are best used with Rec. 709 footage
(Rec. 709 is the normal-looking footage that has good saturation and contrast.
