Beginning in Photoshop The workshop starts beginning with an overview of the colors Gino uses to create flesh tones. He also discusses the significance of his color choices and what they are used for in-building authentic skin tones. The presentation then transitions in ZBrush into two parts, which allows you to observe as he creates his own concept of a creature starting from scratch. Beginning with a simple skull, he creates the appearance of a demon while showing the timeline of his entire sculpture process, including techniques, tips, favorite tools, and business insights provided throughout the process.
After rendering using KeyShot the final image is then imported to Photoshop to finish the painting process. Starting using the ear as a base, Gino demonstrates how to successfully paint the numerous layers of skin translucent using the already established color palette. Attention to the smallest of specifics, the workshop demonstrates how to create realistic veins, freckles, mottling effects, and more. The final part of the workshop focuses on the drawing of the entire head of the creature for an end-of-the-line illustration.
