Melissa Marshall – Color Presets: My editing style has evolved and developed quite a bit over my career. I developed ( & perfected)these presets that provide the same aesthetic, style, and overall feel to your images to provide your clients with a beautiful and uniform gallery.
The inspiration comes from terra-cotta shades. These are a collection of colors influenced by terra-cotta hues.
Presets create a romantic and intimate feel.
Because this was the first preset color package to be released, I was not going to keep anything from being released. The most common issue I observe photographers face is the need to find consistency across their portfolios. The basis of each one is the same"the one press,t," and I then made adjustments to each preset to ensure that every kind of lighting situation has the option of a set of presets. From moonlight to sunrise, your photos will look cohesive when you use these babies.
mm x THE ONE
My most-used preset. This is the base of my editing workflow. The soft highlights, sharpness, adjusted tones, and extra warmth ensure that my portfolio stays consistent and can be used in any lighting scenario. Based on your shooting style, the most significant adjustments to make are your white balance and exposure/contrast!
mm is the other one
As the name suggests, the preset is another I frequently use to make edits (becoming my most-loved). It offers the same style and hues that 'the other offers, but it gives warmth when required and blends all the tones to create the perfect blend. Based on your shooting style, the only adjustments you need to make are your white balance and exposure/contrast!
mm x THE GOLDEN ONE
With an added warmth, this shines all over the place. Staying true to the MMX aesthetic, this is in warmer temperatures when required and stronger contrast, which willrighter photos. Based on your shooting style, the only adjustments you'll need to make are your white balance and exposure/contrast!
mm x THE moody ONE
It's a nice bonus. I don't often use it, but occasionally, a bit of extra ambiance is what a session needs. This preset gives energy, a vibe, and an extreme sharpness to your photographs. It's a blast to try this out using close-ups of in-home photos or spectacular sunsets. Based on your shooting style, the most significant adjustments you'll need to make are your white balance and exposure/contrast!
mm x THE BLUE HOUR ONE
Conserving the colors are lost in blue hours, and this preset restores the warmth you require to find the perfect spots while also saving an amount of blue. Adjust your white balance and exposure, and you're good to go.
mm x the AMBIENT one
This is a great preset for receptions and ceremonies lit with candles and sparkler exits for any event with artificial light. If anything has to be changed, this will be just the brightness or warmth, and the rest can be set in a click!
mm Flash one
This preset was designed especially for photography using flash. If you aim for direct flash or bounce light or utilize off-camera lighting, this preset can help.
