We want to express the idea of real film camera viewfinders with a pinch of retro-futurism with this overlay kit. Therefore, we concentrated heavily on Arri, Aaton, and B&H's old 16mm and 35mm viewfinders. We recreated scans of actual ground glass screens digitally and now make them open to you to spice up your project.
The overlays come with a resolution of 4K 16x9 and 2.35x1 and can be quickly downscaled to HD. They have been created as .png files and can be imported into any editing software supporting blend modes of your choosing.
LOOKS like the real thing
You will acknowledge any of these overlays if you have previously shot on video. In Photoshop, we create our viewfinders, but the prototypes are based on separate actual ground glass displays from various manufacturers' specialist film equipment.

Because our analog viewfinder overlays come to you as files depending on the blend mode, choosing which one to use would be your most challenging job. Drag and drop them in and the blend mode is changed. Uh, boom! You've got your retro camera here.

To the Analog Viewfinder Kit, we have added a lot of content from other packages. Of 10-second Super 8 film grain loops, authentic film dust and scratches, our ground glass texture, a pre-wedged sprocket hole and a viewfinder stain overlay, your footage will look as if it had been viewed through the viewfinder of a Panaflex Millennium XL2.
