I'm Nhat Huynh, or you can refer to me as Cricket Design. I'm a self-employed illustrator with the greatest love for characters and illustration. Most of my work is vector designs that focus on shape, vivid colors, light, and texture. Teaching is another favorite way to impart my knowledge of the journey of creativity.
I'll walk you through how to make an illustration in this course. The first step is to sketch the concept sketch on paper. Then, we'll set the image within Illustrator and work using vector objects. In the end, we'll give more depth to the illustration by using texture. I will describe the whole process in depth, including methods and suggestions on the shapes, colors, and texture.
This course is targeted at students with elementary Adobe Illustrator skills, and it's straightforward to acquire, and I repeat it in every lesson. Still, students at any level interested in becoming illustrators or perhaps side hustlers are invited to join in, learn and have fun.
