Aescripts Staircase v1.05 (Win, Mac): Staircase is an application with After Effects that allows you to sequence, stagger and randomize layers quickly.
Divide your layers into separate blocks via block size or label color. Hovering across the UI will reveal which labels are chosen.
Offset layers in a single layer or manage within and outside the blocks.
Staircase has some fantastic extra features, including the ability to stagger based on location, allowing for ease on each block and fading between blocks.
Stagger:
- Arrange different layers with multiple increments according to the order they're picked.
- Alt + Click move blocks and layers according to their location within the composition.
- Control if layers that are in identical positions begin at the same time
- Base location on the center of each layer or block or the bounding box.
- Stagger the inside blocks and outside blocks by the position separately.
Easing:
- Include additional easing elements in your main UI.
- Remove all layers you have selected or select to ease the blocks from either side.
Sequence:
- Sequence layers are arranged individually or in blocks. The staircase analyzes each block's point of entry and exit and adjusts it accordingly.
- Layers of layers fade between each other and control:
- Switch + click to fade into.
- Alt + Ctrl to dim out.
- Hit Alt, Shift, and Click to fade into and out.
Randomise:
- Randomize blocks of layers up to a predetermined amount of forwards in time.
- Use Shift and Click to randomly select layers of blocks that can be up to a certain amount of forwards and reverses in time.
Custom UI:
- You can add elements to the main UI depending on what best meets your requirements. Simply reopen the script and check for modifications.
- The staircase is currently able to hide or add:
- Inside / Outside Blocks controls
- Controls that are easy to access
Additional Features:
- Choose a unit value between Frames, Seconds Minutes.
- Turn to the nearest frame as you ease.
- Join the color of the label into one block if they're not on the timeline.
- Move layers to CTI.
- Create a block using the layers you have selected.
Compatibility:
- The staircase is compatible when you use After Effects CC 2014.2 and up.
- Staircase supports several languages within the AE. Please test your script using Trial mode before buying.
