Since these effects on the brush consume a lot of resources, be sure to enable "Smart Previews" under the Performance tab of your Lightroom settings.
These effects for brushes won't be as effective as normal brushes.
Make sure you apply them before applying any other brush tool edits since they'll overwrite any brushes that are already in use.
