Adjusting tangents and path points In After Effects has always been an unpleasant experience compared to the power and simplicity of dedicated vector tools such as Illustrator. In the native After Effects, you can't

• The path can't go from one side to the other
• to align a point with the location of another point
• and examine the real facts behind the actual values of the locations of those points.
• Copy a tangent, then paste it onto another point.
• Move the points precisely according to their layer's X Z-axis whelayer'slayer was moved...

With Penpal, It can complete all of this and more. It comes with over 40 functions and can do thingsrator cannot do.

DESIGN IN MOTION

EDIT SHAPES AS THEY ARE

Switch between Penpal's Spaces and Penpal'se able to take you that is changed by group or rotation as if they were in their original form - using all Penpal's functions wPenpal'sith the right-side-up orientation.

After Effects has always lagged way behind Adobe Illustrator when editing more streamlined paths, this lack of appreciation for shape layers entices us to make intense preparations and awkward and unnatural methods of working around them.

We have friends who don't even use Illustrator in any way and who design everything from scratch using AE with the help of Penpal. We're not saying Penpal will perform all the things Illustrator does (though it can accomplish some things that Illustrator cannot). However, having Penpal within your workspace will require Illustrator less, and maybe not in any way.

New Changes:

• The backspace button deletes selected points in the Points tab.
• Align tangents to neighboring points button.
• “Points: Mirror Path"on-axis” function buttons
• "agents: Move" fun"tion buttons
• T"e "Points: Snap" button" accepts the"ALT modifier key to also snap tangents.
• The "Points: Move" button" accepts the"ALT modifier key to leave tangents in place.
• Toggle the button in Preferences to display tangent coordinates as absolute or relative.
