Soundtrack Loops intros Cosmic Sea - Ambient Soundbeds. After the "heavily combative beats' that were featured on his previous Soundtrack Loops title, CORROSIVE MACHINES Cosmic Sea is the second Soundtrack Loops outing by producer Colin C., and this time we get a totally different set of products. The Cosmic Sea sound is the sound of classic analog synth textures that cover three different sonic categories. Melodic Pads (40 files), Atonal Drones (40 files), and Impacts and Blasts (20 files). The pads are richly constructed and move along quietly. The drones are organic high-quality, full-spectrum, and deeply evocative. the impacts sound are similar to the way they sound and range from deep sub-bass thuds to powerful rips. The entire collection showcases stunning VCF work that truly is a Colin C. trademark. The biggest issue with ambient textures is the abundance of over-the-top, gimmicky soundscapes that draw more attention than them. Cosmic Sea isn't plagued by this issue. The Colin C. aesthetic favors an emphasis on sonic integration rather than sonic dominance however, it is also a collection where the sounds themselves are full-bodied and rich with personality, they are able to effortlessly stand alone. It's a remarkable feat and is the result when talent knowledge, taste, and experience are combined with a full understanding of the structure of sample libraries and how to get the most out of it.
