This course is intended for Intermediate up to advanced Photoshop users.
If you utilize Photoshop to create your Toile de Jour patterns You are assured to retain all the information of your original art This greatly enhances the patterns you create.
The class has been split into four sections:
- In the first section, you will get an introduction to Toile de Jouy patterns (a part of their history and how they developed over the years). Then, we will talk about the various types of patterns, designs, backgrounds colors, and patterns that can be found in traditional and present-day Toile de Jouy-inspired patterns.
- in the second portion, we will complete the plans for our subsequent Toile de Jouy pattern and we will look for sources of inspiration and examples.
- For the third and final part of the course, we'll begin enjoying ourselves, making our tiles and sketching out our designs and scenes with Photoshop.
- I will show you how to use Smart objects, how to create your tile, and how to create your own motifs using half Drop repeat.
- Then, we'll conduct an assessment of the initial pattern to identify any corrections and enhancements that could be made.
- Then, we'll complete all corrections and adjustments, as well as add more details by using layer masks.
- Next, we will design the pattern, and make various colorways.
- In the fourth portion of this course, I will teach you how to create sparse patterns by using highlighted patterns.
