Wabi-Sabi, according to Japanese tradition aesthetics, is a concept that communicates a deep principle of existence. It is based on the recognition of fleeting, imperfect, and temporary beauty. Beauty is found in simplicity, economy, asymmetry, and rough edges.
Many Zen temples were built using Wabi-Sabi principles, Japanese tea houses, and ceremonial tea items like pottery. Their simplicity is striking and jaw-dropping.
This inspiration and my love for inky, rough edges led me to create a collection. I want you to remember and appreciate the essential tones and simple lines of natural objects, as well as the raw spontaneity and simplicity of nature.
