The native Delphi components within this package provide quick and immediate data export to MS Excel, XML, HTML, SPSS, PDF, and other formats from a DBGrid, Dataset, or other VCL controller!
SMExport suite is a set of the element that export information from TDataSet or TDBGrid or any other VCL control (like TStringGrid, TListView, and so Forth ) into such formats as Paradox (if using the BDE) and DBase tables or into a text file (fixed or comma-delimited), HTML, XML, MS Excel, MS Word, PDF, MS Access, SQL-script, Lotus 1-2-3, Quattro, SYLK, DIF, LDAP DIF and other formats as explained in the next table.
Data-specific format configurations (like column widths, colors, fonts, selected records, etc.) are moved where possible.
The SMExport parts are native VCL motors using multi-language support.
Notice that almost every part above enables the user to pick among 3 possible activities after the export process is now finished:
SMExport suite also comprises a convenient wizard, the TSMEWizardDlg () part, a self-healing wizard that guides end users from exporting any run-time information via a user-friendly interface that helps with export parameter settings. This element gives your user complete control over the whole data export procedure via a few simple mouse clicks. Drop the component onto a form and implement it on a proper button (or other consumer actions as you see fit).
Another helpful compound element from the SMExport suite is that the TSMExportMonitor () component. This element activates a visual dialog for placing export parameters. Judicious use of the elements allows you to programmatically control all information export procedures in one module and offer a flexible program for the end-users.
Customized data motors in the SMExport suite permit you to export information from almost any VCL control (TStringGrid, TListView, TDecisionCube, etc.). Included is a digital data engine that lets you create data in run-time that's not connected to any management. A Variety of third-party data sources are encouraged, too (, TMS, DOA, IBObject, DBISAM, etc.)
